Not every tea is worth keeping. The Collection keeps only three things: a terroir that cannot be had twice, a batch that cannot be met twice, a vintage that cannot be waited for twice.
The higher tier is not on the shelf. Mulan House tea is measured in "vintage lots", terroir adoption in "a single old bush", private commissions in "one-of-a-kind pieces" - none of these promise stock; all are open by appointment and member access only.

What makes a tea worth keeping.
FirstTerroir aloneTERROIR
Three gorges and two streams, the core zhengyan, the old-tree mountains. You cannot move a place, so you cannot copy its flavour. Terroir is a tea's birthplace, and the ground it stands on for a lifetime.

The same terroir, a different year's weather, a different tea. A batch is the answer of one year - once it is gone, another takes its place.
ThirdVintage aloneVINTAGE
A tea that can be kept moves forward on its own. A vintage is its own record, and needs no explanation; the liquor will finish the sentence for you.

The quantities above follow live boutique stock. The Collection does not lower its standard when it sells out - the next batch waits for the next vintage.

GOLDEN RIM HANDMADE
Entirely hand-thrown and hand-trimmed: a line of gold at the rim, a jade face on the body. Each one comes out with its own small difference - the warmth of the handmade, exactly what a machine cannot give.
Complete a vintage a ti at a time, make a batch of a single tree. A batch card is enclosed: terroir, vintage, batch number and making record, all on record.
