No second piece
A one-of-a-kind piece begins with a conversation: its use, its feel in the hand, the clay, the form, the maker's mark — every piece discussed on its own. When the handwork is finished, a record card comes with it: maker, process and firing record, all on record. From the day the drawing is settled it exists only for you; once fired, the whole of this object belongs to you alone.
There is no catalogue to choose from. Your use and your hand are the starting point of the piece.
Maker, process and firing record are delivered with the piece. How it came to be, the record keeps for you.
Once the drawing is settled it is closed, never made again. Its uniqueness rests not on a claim, but on never making a second one.
