Mengding Ganlu is one of China's earliest famous teas; the name "Ganlu" (sweet dew) comes from an auspicious fall of sweet dew in the Han dynasty. Pre-Qingming first pick, tightly rolled and downy, tender as dew, with a clear sweet fragrance — for a first green tea, it should be this tender.

- Killed green at high heat and quickly pan-fired, locking in the fresh fragrance of pre-Qingming spring tea.
- Water temperature
- 85–90°C; never pour boiling water directly onto the tender buds
- Brewing
- A 200ml glass with 3g of leaf at 85–90°C (let boiled water cool, lid off, for about a minute); add water first, then the tea. Drink after a minute or two; when a third is left, top up — fresh and brisk, never bitter.
CARE
New-season tea, sealed in a light-blocking foil pouch; store away from light at room temperature, and once opened drink within 30 days to keep it fresh.
