TASTING
Orchid and wild honey held back rather than shown; a lasting fragrance at the bottom of the cup.

Sweet and smooth as honey water, almost no bitterness or astringency; a cool throat feel with a quiet fragrance that lingers.
At about 1,300m, roughly 80 years old, from the April 2026 batch. Mansong small-leaf is defined by the words "sweet and smooth," "fine" and "a fragrance that drifts unseen" — this small-leaf mountain, once sent to the imperial court, offers a restrained nobility: a clear orchid note and wild honey held back rather than shown, with a lasting fragrance at the bottom of the cup. The entry is sweet and smooth as drinking honey water, with almost no bitterness or astringency, the liquor fine and silky; yet beneath the softness lies an inner strength — a few cups in, the body warms faintly and the tea energy is full. The returning sweetness is drawn-out, the throat feel cool, and the quiet fragrance lingers deep in the throat. The first two infusions are pale as water, easy to underrate, then turn to a bright gold — even after twenty infusions there is still fragrance and sweetness.

SPECIFICATION

- Type
- Raw Pu-erh · Workshop No.1 series
- Spec
- 500g · batch 2026.04.26
- Region
- Yunnan · Mengla · Mansong
- Craft
- Sun-dried: after withering, fixing and rolling, the leaf is dried in sunlight, keeping its activity — to drink now or to age.
- Water temperature
- 90–95°C; batches aged for years can take boiling water directly
- Brewing
- We suggest a 110ml porcelain gaiwan with 5g of leaf, boiling water in and out quickly: pour off at once for the first steeps, then lengthen each infusion. Young tea for freshness, aged tea for longer steeping; it endures many infusions.
