TASTING
Clean floral-fruit aroma when young, turning to honeyed sugar as it ages, long in the cup.

Barely any bitterness, sweetness to the fore, a body like silk, a lasting returning sweetness.
At about 1,400m, roughly 85 years old, from the April 2026 batch. Yiwu is the starting point of the Tea Horse Road, and the home of "softness". Its core is a smooth body, low bitterness and rich honey aroma: clean floral-fruit notes when young, settling over years into a calm honeyed sweetness that lingers in the cup. The entry has barely any bitterness and a sweetness to the fore; the liquor is thick and full, smooth as silk, with a mouth-water and returning sweetness that come slowly but last a long while. The colour is a clear gold, deepening toward orange-red with age; the leaves are dark and lustrous, thick and sturdy, the infused leaf plump and soft — it endures many infusions.

SPECIFICATION

- Type
- Raw Pu-erh · Workshop No.1 series
- Spec
- 500g · batch 2026.04.23
- Region
- Yunnan · Mengla · Yiwu
- Craft
- Sun-dried: after withering, fixing and rolling, the leaf is dried in sunlight, keeping its activity — to drink now or to age.
- Water temperature
- 90–95°C; batches aged for years can take boiling water directly
- Brewing
- We suggest a 110ml porcelain gaiwan with 5g of leaf, boiling water in and out quickly: pour off at once for the first steeps, then lengthen each infusion. Young tea for freshness, aged tea for longer steeping; it endures many infusions.
