One Cup of Mulan Tea, One Mulan Maison

If a cup of tea can be the beginning of a brand,

then can a building

become the entrance to that world?

We wanted to try.

So MULAN MAISON · HANGZHOU came to be.

We did not conceive of it as a larger tea shop.

A space truly belonging to MULAN TEA STORY® should hold more than products.

It should have tea.

Objects.

Art.

Culture.

Encounters between people.

And the technology and experiences of today.

Tea needs a place to be drunk with care.

Objects need a place to be seen and touched.

Art needs space.

Encounters between people need time.

So for a cup of tea, we made a Mulan Maison.

Glass forms the boundary between the building and the city.

By day, the city enters the glass.

By night, the building becomes a beam of light in the city.

GLASS OUTSIDE. TEA WITHIN.

The city outside, the East within.

To walk in here is not to leave the city.

It is to enter another kind of time within the city.
