TASTING
Floral and honey notes, settled; a hidden aroma that lingers long in the empty cup.

Heavy bitterness that dissolves fast into a fierce returning sweetness; the body thick and firm, the qi commanding.
Around 1,800m above sea level, roughly 200-year-old trees, an April 2025 spring batch. Banzhang—hailed as the king of Pu-erh: commanding, strong in qi, with a heavy bitter base. Floral and honey notes are settled, a hidden aroma rising, the empty cup fragrant for a long while; on entry the bitterness is clear yet dissolves fast, turning at once into a fierce, lasting returning sweetness and a rush of salivation; the liquor full and thick with a firm edge and a marked pressing weight on the tongue. The effect on the body is strong—a few cups in, the body warms and breaks a light sweat: Banzhang is the measure of what a strong qi means.
