TASTING
A high, keen orchid aroma, the signature wild-mushroom note unmistakable.

Soft and pressing on the tongue, a lasting rock-sugar sweetness, a strong tea energy felt clearly.
Around 800m above sea level, roughly 100-year-old trees, an April 2023 spring batch—two years aged. Xigui's style is called Lincang's Banzhang: the assertive tea energy of Banzhang, yet with a singular soft body and a mushroom aroma—a low mountain that grew the force of a high one. The aroma is high and keen, highly distinctive—the young tea carries a rich orchid note, and most unique is a wild-mushroom fragrance that is Xigui's signature, long in the cup. On the palate it is soft, low in bitterness and quick to dissolve; the body thick and full, the flow fine, with the pressing weight of thin rice broth; sweetness high, with a lasting rock-sugar sweetness. Salivation and returning sweetness come fast, filling the mouth like a spring; the tea energy strong, the sensation clear.
