TASTING
Plum, floral honey and wild notes interwoven, with a malt-sugar sweetness in the cup.

A heavy bitter base that dissolves fast, a fierce returning sweetness; the body thick and bold.
Around 1,500m above sea level, roughly 80-year-old trees, an April 2023 spring batch—already two years aged. Bulang Mountain has a very distinctive style—thick, intense, alive with tea energy. The aroma is full and rich, plum, floral honey and a singular wild note interwoven, the empty cup often holding a malt-sugar sweetness. Its heavy bitter base is the source of its assertive character, yet the bitterness dissolves quickly into a fierce, lasting returning sweetness and salivation; the body is plump and weighty, bold on entry, strongly layered. The liquor is orange-yellow and clear, the brewed leaf thick and soft. Its ageing potential is superb—stored longer, it only deepens, with a throat-feel that goes deeper still.
