THE MULAN CHARTER · A BRAND COVENANT
THE MULAN CHARTER
Seven Articles · Written Before All Products
The standard of a cup of tea is defined not by its price, but by how it is made.
The following seven articles are MULAN TEA STORY®'s public promise for every cup of Mulan tea —
unchanged by the market, with no exceptions.
- ARTICLE I
Origin
Only core growing areas such as Tianxin Zhengyan of the Wuyi mountains. Every batch of Mulan tea is labeled with its origin — precise to village and hillside. Where a tea comes from is the first line of its identity.
- ARTICLE II
Season
Only what the season offers. Pre-Qingming, pre-Grain Rain, autumn dew — tea has its own time, and we do not hurry it. Out-of-season tea waits for next year.
- ARTICLE III
First Flush
The first tender buds of each year, picked and made in limited quantity. First-flush series are numbered batch by batch, quantities made public — sold out means gone.
- ARTICLE IV
Craft
Made by experienced tea makers — Rong Hua of Wuyi among them. Human judgment and the timing of fire cannot be replaced by machines. Every batch carries its maker's name.
- ARTICLE V
Purity
No blending with leaves from other regions, no added flavoring. The flavor of a cup comes from only three things: land, season and craft.
- ARTICLE VI
Traceability
From a single leaf to a cup of tea — origin, picking date and maker are all traceable. We believe only a tea that dares to be questioned deserves to be trusted.
- ARTICLE VII
Destruction
Batches that fail the standard are destroyed in full — never downgraded and sold. Below the standard, there is no second sentence.
What We Never Do
NO EXCEPTIONS
- We never make claims without evidence — every name we print is backed by facts.
- We never use stories to raise prices — only standards to explain them.
- We never bargain over standards.
This charter is written before all products.
Before packaging, before advertising, before price.
